2003 Ferndale Police/Ferndale Rotary Bicycle Rodeo

On Saturday September 13, 2003, the Ferndale Police Department and long time sponsor Ferndale Rotary Club held the annual Bicycle Rodeo at the Ferndale Fire Station No. 2 during their recent open house. With the assistance of the Ferndale Recreation Department the event was a resounding success!

In years past this event has been held for eight hours at two different locations in the City.  Typically we hand out eighty to ninety bicycle helmets that are donated by the Ferndale Rotary Club.

This year we gave out all but two of the 150 bicycle helmets.

Additionally, we licensed over 90 bicycles free of charge to Ferndale residents, repaired numerous bicycles and conducted bicycle safety instruction to anyone who chose to participate.
