Ferndale PD joins Sheriff Bouchard in the STOPPED Program
The Ferndale Police Department has elected to join The Michigan Sheriff Association (MSA) in the STOPPED Program. This program allows parents to register with the MSA and receive a decal for their family or teenagers vehicle. If the vehicle is STOPPED by law enforcement the Officer will fill out a notification card that will be mailed to the parent. This card will include the time and location of the stop, the driver's name and number of passengers, the reason for the stop and whether a citation(s) was issued. For further information or on-line registration visit the MSA website at www.michigansheriff.com
Ferndale Police Honor Guard
Ferndale Police's Honor Guard team was created in 1999 and performs at city functions such as the Memorial Day Parade, Veterans Day and other appropriate city sanctioned events.
The Ferndale Police Department protects the rights of all persons within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attack, to be secure in their possessions, and to live in peace. The Ferndale Police Department serves the people of the city by performing the law enforcement function in a professional and courteous manner, and it is to these people that we are ultimately responsible.
